Run Porn: 23rd of 2013

April Fooled Edition!

On April 1st, the weather was amazing, but my body was not.

I took this run on April 2nd, and the weather was 20 degrees colder. And my pain had moved from my back to my legs.
I have not had such consistent pain and difficulty since I started running.

I try to zone out and connect with the beautiful morning but
each time my foot hits the pavement it feels like I have the weight of another person on my legs.

It worries me. Am I dying??

I am doing a two week sugar detox, absolutely no carbohydrates (any sugar, even from fruit and whole grains),
I wonder if this is affecting my performance…?

I am someone who is constantly, to a fault, thinking about the big picture and the end result
rather than the journey.

That is why running is such a perfect daily practice for someone like me.

There are going to be times where you set out on a journey and you are going to
feel weighed down and uncomfortable the entire time.
But 55 minutes later, as you start to see the awning of your little apartment
coming closer towards you in the distance,
you did it.

And you will do it again.
